Boho/loft style coffee table, made from reclaimed wood and steel that's over 100 years old.
A solid and soulful piece of organic furniture that has been lovingly handcrafted using the finest reclaimed materials. The wood used in the piece is pine, a fantastic soft wood perfect for furniture building due to it's malleable yet long lasting properties. It is lovingly restored and then protected with wax so as to prolong the condition of the wood .The steel has been painted with acrylic lacquer to protect it and provide that modern contrast to the rustic nature of the wood..

This table is not just a piece of wood and steel, but an original, unique piece of furniture on which we can learn about the history of this old wood through the 'scars' in the material. To further enhance the natural character of the wood, I have used oil wax to protect it. The steel has been powder-coated. The material has been treated to make it safe, free of splinters, but we try to interfere as little as possible to preserve its raw character.
The material comes from recycling.
